ErinEarth loves working with partners in our community. Recent projects include

Rotary Clubs of Wollundry, Sunrise and Kooringal: 2024 saw the commencement of our Stormwater Management System, including community planting, thanks to support from our local Rotary Clubs.

Carevan and TransGrid: ErinEarth and Carevan were the recipients of a TransGrid community grant. Eltan Mestan, Garden Manager at ErinEarth, worked with Carevan from start to finish on designing and making a vegetable garden at Carevan’s site on Ferneligh Road. This garden will provide Carevan with cheap fresh produce for the important work they do, providing meals and support for those facing difficult circumstances.

Riverina Water Wollundry Rotary: Rivernina Water and Wollundry Rotary both provided financial support for the installation of a solar water pump at ErinEarth in mid 2020. The solar pump will replace the existing windmill and be used to pump rainwater from our onsite dam to our gravity fed water tanks. These water tanks are then hooked up to drip irrigation pipes, heavily covered in mulch, which can provide our garden with deep watering the whole year round, using water collected onsite.

Kooringal Public School: ErinEarth’s Education Officer, Ben Holt, was approached by Kooringal Public School in 2019 to assist in creating a unit of work that featured the movie, 2040. Ben worked with local teacher, Samarta Merryfield, to plan a unit of work that was meaningful, age appropriate and engaging. The unit culminated with a viewing of the movie and a visit from Ben to Kooringal Public for a Q and A session with multiple Stage 5 classes.

South Wagga Rotary Revegetation Project: ErinEarth is supporting the South Wagga Rotary Revegetation Project on Rocky Hill Reserve, in conjunction with Wagga City Council. Both a weeding and revegetation project is taking place over one year in order to help life flourish on this beautiful recreational reserve, just 2.5kms from the centre of town.
