Our garden maintenance volunteer program is one of the mainstays of the ErinEarth community. Each week we have between 10 and 30 fantastic volunteers come and maintain our lovely garden. Jobs include activities such as:
- Turning compost
- Pruning
- Path maintenance
- Planting
- Seed propagation
- Tools maintenance
- Weeding
And many more.
Our volunteers are always sustained with a hearty morning tea, with ingredients from our very own garden, and a few decadent biscuits to boot.
Our volunteer program supports those in our community that may find it extra difficult to participate in community groups due to challenges like physical handicaps, right through to English as a second language. Please don’t let these types of things prevent you from getting in touch. We can always use an extra hand and enjoy supporting those that may often find it extra difficult to get out and about in our community.
