Every Tuesday and Wednesday during school term our garden is open to the public. Wander and be inspired by the plants and animals that call it home. It is a great place for young kids to explore and experiment with rocks, twigs, leaves, logs… all the fun stuff. We even have our own dedicated nature play area with giant sandpit.
Our garden has been designed with certain principles in mind such as
- Permaculture
- Water minimisation
- Biodiversity protection
- Habitat for animals
- Demonstration of what can be achieved in Wagga Wagga
We invite everyone to come and visit our garden and take a good look around. See the Gallery page on our website for recent photos.
ErinEarth also hosts four seasonal Family Fun Days each year. These days are an opportunity to visit our garden on the weekend in a family friendly environment. They take place on one Saturday each season. The Family Fun Days include activities such as scavenger hunts, arts and crafts and a nature play area to support kids getting interested in the world around them. Parents can take a load off and relax with a tea or coffee from our coffee cart or a homemade cake from our volunteers.
Our Family Fun Days also include workshops on sustainable living such as:
- Twining with native fibres
- Veggie garden maintainace
- Plant selection
- Native plants and animals
- Composting
We look forward to seeing you at our next Family Fun Day!
